This Weekend in FL

We just got back from the Sunshine State Rhodesian Ridgeback Club's Fall Fun Day. The gulf coast was well represented- Belinda and I went down with our Ridgebacks. A friend from NC came down with three more Ridgies. Also Tabitha and her daughter, Christina, joined us. They came w/ their Mastiff, Batista. We all enjoyed the dog show on Saturday morning and then the Fall Fun Day that afternoon.

Boy was it hot! They had lunch and then some demonstrations of Rally and Agility. You could test your dog for the Canine Good Citizen certification too. I waited too late to get Logan tested as it was time to try his paws at lure coursing. He did an amazing job, looked like he was enjoying himself. I did not get any pictures of him running but here are some of the pups after we got back to the hotel room.



And the highlight of the weekend- Batista celebrated his birthday by showing the sighthounds they aren't the only ones who can lure course!

We had a great time and look forward to going back next year.
