Newest Member of our Little Club

Busy weekend and it was only Friday night. After work, a couple of friends and I headed to FL to pick up a rescued Ridgeback who had found himself in a kill shelter.

This poor dog had been on the rescue radar for months but always managed to slip through their fingers. Finally he was saved from the shelter by a wonderful family in FL who adore their own Ridgies and have a heart for rescue. Not enough thanks can be said for their quick action and BIG hearts.

He is now safe and sound in a home which was originally his temporary home until rescue could arrange transport. But after speaking w/ her this morning it sounds like her Ridgeback and cats have laid claim to him. Hopefully he is finally FOREVER home.

Welcome Home J.D. and Morgan who was recently adopted from rescue as well.

2 more RRs here on the Gulf Coast- when's the welcome home party and play date?

  1. He is one happy-go-lucky pup! The cats will be cuddling up with him in no time... except Niles... Niles will continue his kingly reign over all of those below him... including the humans...

  2. JD our new pup just rescued on Friday night with Missy and Amanda's help is getting along great. You would think that he anad Morgan are long lost friends. He came in the door and settled down as if he had been here for ever! He is the dog who will greet everyone with a big smile and a waggy tail. Morgan is going to be aq big mama's girl. We are already so bonded it is pathetic! JD goes to our vet tomorrow for a check up. He definitely has ear mites and gunk coming out of his eyes. All will be well soon. He also has a beautiful new Scottish collar which looks very handsome on him. :)For having been so neglected, he looks in great shape. Missy gave him two baths when she rescued him and then Barb gave him another bath yesterday anad really gave hime a good scrub with Dawn. You can't believe how much stuff came out off him! I don't think he has been bathed for years. Lin
